Georgia Medicaid/CHIP Coverage

As 2022 began, 2,302,786 Georgians were enrolled in a Medicaid/CHIP plan, a number of enrollees 50.01% higher than the number of enrollees at the start of the Marketplace Open Enrollment Period in October 2013.1  Despite the hefty increase in enrollment, there are many Georgia residents who are eligible for coverage who are not enrolled.1 Agents can find promising opportunities to further their career in Georgia as the state has deployed CMS-recommended targeted enrollment strategies which intend to encourage eligible residents to enroll, offering agents an expanded clientele.1

Georgians receiving their health insurance coverage through these programs would likely benefit from working with an agent whose expertise they can trust to navigate the health care system and find a level of care they’d like to receive. In 2020, Georgia reported that only 19 of 27 quality of care standards were being adequately met for adult recipients enrolled in Medicaid.1 As an agent advising enrollees in Georgia, many chances to establish loyal relationships with thankful clients present themselves, boosting business for long-term success.

As one of the 34 states in which JAR Insurance Services holds licensure, agents seeking to build their independent success in Georgia can find a place among our team as a JAR agent.
