True or False: Do all marketing materials need to be submitted to CMS for review?

A successful agent is a compliant agent. Know what materials need to be reviewed to stay in-the-loop on how JAR agents are offered more opportunities for success.

At JAR, we know that the marketing materials needed by downstream agents accumulate quickly. Trying to balance compliance, regulations, and review processes for everything you use may seem overkill, but is it? According to CMS regulations, it’s not.

The CMS Medicare Communications and Marketing Guidelines states, “All marketing materials, election forms, and certain designated communications materials used by a plan, including those used by third-party and downstream entities, must be submitted to CMS for review.”1

In other words, any material that encourages an enrollee, current or prospective, to make a decision about their plan must be given the legal “OK” by CMS before they can be sent out to recipients.

Taking your career to the next level while trusting that all of your marketing materials are being submitted for review has never been easier than with JAR. Agents who partner with JAR never have to worry about dealing with the paperwork of getting materials reviewed for regulatory compliance — our back-office support staff is ready to handle it for you If you’re ready to spend more time doing the work you’re passionate about, making connections and building your business, get in touch with our team today to see what you can achieve as a JAR agent.
