Colorado Medicaid/CHIP coverage

As of 2022, 1,695,096 Colorado residents in are currently enrolled in Medicaid/CHIP coverage.1 A figure that shows promise, it’s the result of a 116.37% increase in enrollment rates following the Marketplace Open Enrollment Period in October of 2013.1  Of the Coloradans eligible for Medicaid and CHIP, there are residents that are not yet enrolled.1  To encourage eligible residents to enroll and to promote Medicaid and CHIP products, California has adopted CMS-suggested promotional strategies that will draw more enrollees to these plans.1 For agents, this means having the opportunity to expand their business while guiding new enrollees toward coverage that best meets their needs.

In Colorado, many residents enrolled would benefit from working with a licensed insurance agent to select a plan that grants them access to comfortable care. For adults receiving Medicaid in Colorado in 2020, a reported 7 of CMS’s 27 quality of care measures were being met.1 Coloradans looking to improve their experience of the care they receive through their coverage are a source of prospects for agents in Colorado wanting to make lasting and loyal connections with their clients and communities — ensuring both improvement of member care and growth of agent success.
